The challenge

Large Ice Cream Company is aiming to hire 1,000 teenagers for the summer of 2025. And hiring seasonal employees at scale is no small feat. To reach their goal, they needed an engaging and simple yet effective way to train and assess young applicants — without an LMS. Their website offered training content, but there was no way to ensure that candidates completed it before their interviews. Without a structured learning path or progress tracking, the hiring process could quickly turn into a melting mess.

The solution

  • Hotspots (interactive buttons) at the end of each Story reveal part of a secret code, ensuring candidates follow the learning path in order.
  • An Open Response (powered by AI) in the final Story prompts candidates to enter the full secret code, proving they completed all Stories.
  • A final secret code word is revealed — something they'd need to recall during their interview.
